When his parents can no longer care for him, there's nowhere to go
Sebbie is 23. Like thousands of disabled young people across the UK, he faces a devastating reality: when his parents can no longer care for him, there is nowhere safe, inclusive and dignified for him to go.
In the UK, that young person's name goes on a list beside their disability and a price. Then they wait. Strangers bid for them on a tender system. They have no choice. No voice. No home.
Sebbie decided that was not good enough. So he decided to build one.
The land is
Four and a half acres, given freely
An extraordinary landowner — a farmer's daughter with a disabled daughter of her own — has offered four and a half acres of land, for free, on one condition: that a Kindness Village is built there.
